README Summary

Windows Subsystem for Linux (WSL) is a compatibility layer for running Linux binary executables natively on Windows 10 and Windows Server 2019. It provides a Linux-compatible kernel interface developed by Microsoft, containing no Linux code, that can then run a GNU user space on top of it. WSL allows developers to run a GNU/Linux environment directly on Windows, unmodified, without the overhead of a traditional virtual machine or dual-boot setup.
